When You Want Something With All Your Heart..

Everything Needed and in place for Class In Time! A Miracle? Sure felt like it!

Sometimes, when we really, truly, want something — heart and soul — we find a way. That’s what happened to me this morning!

I opened my eyes at 10:30. My alarm, set for 9:00, hadn’t gone off — or maybe I forgot to set it?

My beloved 11:00 fitness class was starting in 30 minutes. No time for my usual slow morning. I threw on clothes, brushed my teeth, grabbed my water bottle, and dashed out the door.

Somehow, I arrived on time! My usual spot was still open! Jose, the instructor hadn’t even started the warm-up. A miracle? It sure felt that way.

But what really hit me was this: when our soul is aligned with our desire, life somehow clears the path. Beats me how that works; but I have another far-fetched example from my personal life three paragraphs down.

But first, back to Jose’s class — it’s more than just exercise — it’s joy, rhythm, routine, and connection. It keeps me strong in every way. I plan my days around those three hours. I show up because I love it. And love has power…

I started thinking about other “miracles” I’ve seen — people who’ve broken serious addictions: Food, cigarettes, drugs, alcohol, etc. But they only truly broke free when their heart, mind, and soul, all said YES!!!

That moment happened for me — years ago, the day before my wedding in 1986. I sat up in bed and realized: I’m not a smoker. That’s not who I am, why have I been smoking?

I never touched a cigarette again after that. Not one craving. Not once. After 10+ years of smoking.

That defied the belief that it’s a physical addiction. And believe me if I told you ALL the ways I had tried to quit smoking cigarettes you would be appalled. There’s something to this — complete KNOWING that clears the way.

I’ve seen this deep clarity wake people up — even turn their lives around. It’s not logic or willpower. It’s knowing something deep within, from the inside out.

The first photo with weights and water bottle ready and mysteriously on time for class — the one that has “nothing and everything” to do with this story — captures the exact moment I realized I’d made it, not just to class, but into the flow of something bigger than plans or clocks.

Recently, a new flow had begun. No plans, no goals, just desire. I teamed up with two dear friends, Allen and Stewart, for a project that can help many. We connected through our shared love for Sydney Banks’ work, and what started as a conversation turned into a mission. More on that soon!

Here’s what I know now: miracles happen when we stop trying to control everything and start following what we love.

Stay tuned for our new project — where truth, heart, and insight meet.
